Stopped by the canals in Venice this past weekend. Took a few photos:

With its roots tracing back to New York’s famed Rucker Park — the Mecca of the sport — streetball is a variation of regular team basketball, focusing more on fast tempo and improvisation, often highlighting one’s individual skill set with the rock.
Naturally, the best street ballers came out of the Empire State — ballers like Rafer Alston, Kenny Anderson and Earl Manigault.
One recent addition to the list of legendary street ballers is Grayson “The Professor” Boucher. Less than 6 feet tall and hailing from Oregon, Grayson is an ankle breakin’ anomaly.
Famous for being “that White dude with handles” on the And1 Mixtape Tour, The Professor is now the marquee name for Ball Up, where he continues to embarrass anyone who dares reach for the rock.

French photographer, street artist and award winning filmmaker JR arrived in Los Angeles last week and featured his latest artwork entitled “Wrinkles of the City.
The project showcased his art in the form of wall-sized black-and-white photos wheat pasted on buildings both big and small. The unique public art exhibit featured close-up views of people’s faces left the city’s street art admirers and aspiring photographers abuzz with excitement.
We scoured the L.A. streets — from Venice Beach to Downtown Los Angeles — this past weekend to photograph and map all of the JR artwork.

Bike to Work Friday
Rode my bike to work. On average it’s an eighteen minute walk to work, twelve to fifteen minutes via metro, seven minutes by car (plus a five minute walk from the parking lot). I rode to work today in under 8 minutes. MASH! :-p
